6 ways to detox fluoride, a known neurotoxin, from your body

Sodium fluoride is classified as a neurotoxin – in the same category as arsenic, lead, and mercury, but it’s still prevalent in the United States’ water supply. Here are six ways to detox the substance from your body. By Amanda Froelich For years, health experts have been debating about whether or not sodium fluoride is toxic to the human body. Small amounts applied topically may prevent tooth decay, but there is little evidence suggesting that fluoride improves health when it is ingested. In fact, according to the world’s oldest and most prestigious medical journal, The Lancet, the additive is actually a neurotoxin and is classified in the same category as arsenic, lead, and mercury. Because it is commonly ingested through fluoridated water, certain foods, and commercial toothpastes, researchers believe that the additive is contributing to a worldwide… Read More

Study confirms that fluoride causes weight gain and depression

(NaturalNews) The debate over water fluoridation goes back to the 1940s when communities began fluoridating water to prevent tooth decay. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the fluoridation of water was one of the greatest public health achievements of the 20th century. Fluoride is a natural mineral found in soil and water in varying amounts. It is believed to combat tooth decay and cavities by making enamel more resistant to bacteria. However, previous studies have shown that exposure to high levels of fluoride inhibits the production of iodine, which is crucial for a healthy thyroid. It is for this reason that adding extra fluoride to water for the purpose of medical treatment has become a controversial topic of heated debate. For decades, fluoride has been forced upon us… Read More

THE FLUORIDE IN DRINKING WATER IS NOT NATURAL

Dr. Mercola Two-thirds of Americans drink tap water that has added fluoride. Unlike other chemicals added to water, which are intended to treat the water itself, fluoride is intended to treat the people who drink the water, whether they want the treatment or not. As the Fluoride Action Network (FAN) puts it, “Fluoridating water supplies can thus fairly be described as a form of mass medication, which is why most European countries have rejected the practice.”1 In the U.S., many people assume the fluoride in drinking water is beneficial for their teeth, an assumption that has been widely spread by public health agencies. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has partnered with the American Dental Association (ADA) in saying fluoridation is “nature’s way to prevent tooth decay”2 — a… Read More

Fluoride Officially Classified as a Neurotoxin in World’s Most Prestigious Medical Journal

by Nick Meyer | December 20, 2015  Photo via EatLocalGrown.com. Thanks to Nick Meyer and AltHeathworks for a useful article with good links.  The movement to remove industrial sodium fluoride from the world’s water supply has been growing in recent years, with evidence coming out against the additive from several sources. Now, a report from the world’s oldest and most prestigious medical journal, The Lancet, has officially classified fluoride as a neurotoxin — in the same category as arsenic, lead and mercury. The news was broken by author Stefan Smyle, who cited a report published in The Lancet Neurology, Volume 13, Issue 3, in the March 2014 edition, by authors Dr. Phillippe Grandjean and Philip J. Landrigan, MD. The report, which was officially released in 2014 and published in the journal, can be viewed by clicking here. Fluoride Classified Along with Mercury, Lead and Others As noted in the… Read More

Fluoride-Free Pineal Gland is More Important than Ever

(naturalNews) There has been some controversy over the activity of adding synthetic fluoride to municipal water supplies and elsewhere, but not enough. The seriousness of this issue is more than what most realize. Fluoridation ranks with GMO’s and tainted, forced vaccinations among the great crimes against humanity. Understanding the Different Fluorides There are two types of fluoride. Calcium Fluoride, which appears naturally in underground water supplies, is relatively benign. However, too much consumed daily can lead to bone or dental problems. Calcium is used to counter fluoride poisoning when it occurs. This redeeming factor indicates that the calcium in naturally formed calcium fluoride neutralizes much of fluoride’s toxic effects. On the other hand, the type of fluorides added to water supplies and other beverages and foods are waste products of the… Read More

Fluoride in Drinking Water Tied to Higher Rates of Underactive Thyroid

A British study finds a correlation between the amount of fluoride in public drinking water and a rise in incidence of underactive thyroid. While the study is only able to establish an association, not cause-and-effect, experts say the link deserves serious investigation. “Clinicians in the United States should emphasize to patients this association and should test patients for underactive thyroid,” said Dr. Spyros Mezitis, an endocrinologist at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. “Patients should probably be advised to drink less fluoridated water and consume less fluoridated products, including [fluoridated]toothpaste,” added Mezitis, who was not involved in the study. But a representative of the American Dental Association took issue with the British report. “Public health policy is built on a strong base of scientific evidence, not a single study,” said… Read More

Why is Fluoride added to city tap water?

Fluoride, or Hydrofluorosilic acid (H 2 SiF 6 ), is not naturally occurring but is a waste by-product derived from the industrial manufacture of aluminium, zinc, uranium, aerosols, insecticides, fertilizers, plastics, lubricants and pharmaceuticals. It is also a Part II Poison under the UK Poisons Act 1972 ranking in toxicity above lead and just below arsenic. Fluoride is one of the basic ingredients in both PROZAC (FLUoxetene Hydrochloride) and Sarin nerve gas (Isopropyl-Methyl-Phosphoryl FLUoride). American toothpastes containing fluoride are by law obliged to state, ‘”WARNING: Keep out of reach of children under 6 years of age. If you accidentally swallow more than used for brushing, seek professional help or contact a poison control center immediately.” Links: Flouride damages reproductive system of rats: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20… Molecular Mechanisms of Fluoride Toxicity: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20… Genotoxic effects of… Read More

Fluoride in Water Linked to More ADHD Symptoms – Study

Heather Callaghan Activist Post Believe it or not, people have protested the mass medication of the public through drinking water all along. The fluoride in tap water – although touted as healthy and safe – is nothing more than the “legal” unregulated way for chemical companies to unload their waste. And we pay for that privilege. Last year, a highly contested Harvard research studypublished in The Lancet implied that water fluoridation is not only ineffective for teeth but is a neurotoxin associated with ADHD and other neurodevelopmental issues. It has also been associated with a significant drop in IQ. Fluoride was recently outed as damaging to the thyroid – that is significant when talking about neurodevelopmental problems. Critics can shrug off and jeer the results all they want but something has sparked… Read More

NJ Mayor Cheers End to Town’s ’Mass Medication’ Through Fluoridated Water

“In addition, so many people are choosing to drink bottled water rather than tap,” he said. City officials agreed to end water fluoridation in a New Jersey town after the mayor spoke out against the practice. “The township will end its mass medication of the public by ending the use of fluoride in the water system,” said David Stahl, mayor of East Brunswick, last month during his state of the township address. The Republican Stahl said he had “read much data on the pros and cons of putting fluoride in our water system,” saying that the cavity-fighting mineral is more widely available than when it was introduced nearly 60 years ago to the town’s water system, reported the Courier News. “Today there are many other options,” the mayor said. “In addition, so many people… Read More
